Vegas Train Station R0J5ivI

Your Alarm wakes you up 5 hours later then you had set it. Strange. You wake up to find that you are now late for the train which you were needed to be there around 9AM. It is the 3rd stop so you have to manage to get yourself there before you miss your train. You must get to the Las Vegas Sign before you are late.

Conveniently enough, a bus comes to your door and and two tall, black men come to your door.

"Come with us please."

You go with them and you find that they take you past the Vegas Sign and go into a small cavern. You hear a clash as if the entrance closed up upon you. You then find yourself at a Train Station and there is a bridge that goes as tall as it could be so that a train can go over it. On the Other side of the railroad you will find a Casino where you find a bunch of play mats on tables. You also see some fun Yu-Gi-Oh Mini games around the tables that represent other forms of gambling.

This is where your journey begins.

Niña starts tp play games at the casino, having fun, not a usual thing for her. She starts betting on toher duelists to win, she participates in duels.

"Evilswarm Heliotrope Attack Him Directly!*
An explosion sound occurs as her oppenants life points drain to 0. Everyone shout's and cheers for her, though she feels uncomfortble, having so many people around her at once. Her oppenant however, starts to smirk, not feeling defeated, but impressed by her. As she attemts to walk towards him to shake his hand, he walks off into the casino further, she loses him.

*I wonder who he is...., and who were those men, i was too distracted by the casino to think about them*

As Demitri questions the strange men that brought him here he notices a big crowd of people surrounding a duel. He walks over to see the why everyone was surrounding the two duelist, its just a duel after all. He looks at both duelists and realizes that one of them is Niña, the duelist he met back at the old dueling college they went to together. She seems to be exited and thrilled to have all the attention focused on her. As the duel progressed Demitri notices how much better Niña has gotten, she wins the duel and the crowd cheers as she strikes her opponent with the final blow.

"Humph. What do you know, she actually did it. Can't say i'm to surprised though."

After the duel Niña makes a attempt to try and approach her opponent but he seems to disappear into the crowd before she had even made it to his side.

"Guess he couldn't swallow his pride long enough to shake her hand, such a loser."

Demitri wonders off after the duel, not even making a attempt to talk to Niña, in search for a bar. The casino was so big it was pretty hard to find, being only 18 he knew he would have to sneak drinks from the bar tender when he wasn't looking. He sits down at the bar as soon as the tender goes to the other end to greet a middle aged woman that looks like she shouldn't be drinking in the first place. He grabs a bottle of tequila and vodka and walks back to the main lobby. He sits down at a booth in the far corner hoping that he wouldn't be noticed and pops open the vodka bottle.

"Man, this place has everything. A bar, a duel section, a deck shop, and the biggest range of casino games i've ever seen."

He sits there with his drinks thinking back on those strange men that brought him to this casino in the first place. He wonders what reason they had for bringing him here in the first place, and also why Niña was here as well. He knew that it didn't add up and that there were plenty of other young duelist here as well.

He thinks "what could a casino do with a bunch of random duelist, why do they want us here and why drop us off without and answers?"

He was tired of thinking so he just drank and drank until both bottles were empty. After he had time to let the head rush pass, he gets up and walks back to the dueling area where most of the young duelist hung out. As he made his way to the back he was confronted by man duelist wanting to duel but he refused each and every one of them. He knew that there is a reason they are all here and he didn't want to draw to much attention to himself, not yet anyways. So he sat down on a couch in the lounge area and relaxed. If there was a reason he was here, then he'd have to wait and find out what that reason was.

Post by Megaz0rd Wed Oct 16, 2013 1:24 am

Owwww! My head... I really should have thought that one through. What did I expect would happen. I just tried righting 2 huge men. Good thing I have my pain kill- What the hell? Why can't I move?...It's so dark I can't see a thing. Ugh... and they have me tied up. Hey Paladynamo & Lord Galaxion. Try to find a way out of here. (Sure thing boss) but as always Lord Galaxion said nothing. as they left their own card a bright light only which I could see filled the room. The room was empty. Nothing but a single chair in front of me and the chair I was tied up in. What a drag. I guess I gotta wait until they come for me again.

It took what felt like an hour for the 2 men to finally come. When they did only 1 of the men came though. "Hey kid, you gonna play nice now?"...."Oh I see, the silent treatment. Well in that case I guess I can just leave"... "Wait! Why am I here? Why did you take me from my house?" "Kid it's nothing you need to know now. For now we just need you to use that deck of yours and play some cards." Ugh! I hate when people call me kid... "You want me to play yugioh?" In return he said very excitedly. "Thats right kid, rumor has it you're one of the top duelists in Las Vegas. We also heard from a little bird you have a spirit monster." (Dont tell him anything about us! exclamied paladynamo.)"Yea... It's called Galaxy Wizard..." (Oh thank Horakthy. He doesn't seem suspicious at all.)

"Alright kid lets get going."
"Can you NOT call me kid?" "Why Carlos? Does it bother you?" I didn't have to say much. He looked at my face and instantly realized it really does erk me. "You know what? You remind me of myself when I was your age. Really frisky. A little bit of a temper to yah. I like that, it gives you character." "Thanks..." (Awwww, somebody likes you) [Shut up you fool] exclaimed Lord Galaxion. "Ok Carlos, I'm gonna untie you now. But you have to promise not to hit me." (Hit em! Jerry, jerry, jerry!) "I won't hit you." He slowly walked over when he did I could see his face more clearly. He already had a busted lip and black eye. Marks from when we fought. he also had a large burn mark on the right side of his face. "Where did you get that scar?" In return he simply said. "I used to be a fire fighter." It was obvious sharing this story bothered him. So I didn't say anything more about it.

"Ok, lets go to your first opponent" "Are you my private escort?..." "Well I wasn't planing on it... But you convinced me. Lets go" When we walked into the tournament room I immediatley noticed and recognized a few of the participants. Reggie Manson, Joshua Reynolds, a few others. But none of them really concerned me. I had beaten most of the people here. What was really distracting me was 2 I didn't know. A girl that had just won the first duel of the day, and a boy about 18 that had gone off and token a few bottles of alcohol.

"Ok Carlos, your first opponent is Joshua Reynolds." I walked over to our arena. He looked nervous. I knew he was no match for my skill but I said good luck and dueled anyways. About 15 minutes later the second match was over. I had won 2-0-0 with the finishing attack being from my Photon Crusher."Good try Joshua, maybe next time you will get me." He instantly took my good sportsmanship for arrogance and took off. Hmm maybe this will be more intresting than I thought. I quietly returned to the man that had brought me here. "By the way, What's your name?" "Noah Wixstrum." "Nice to meet you." "You also Carlos. What they say about you is no lie. You are a very talented duelist" "Yeah, I guess so."

"Well lets go on to your next duel." "Ok sure." When I reached the battle arena boy oh boy was I surprised. My opponent was none other than...

I immediately set off to study the games on the other side, seeing as how every gambling center he has been to has a different vibe he wanted to see how this 1 would turn out.

'Hmm, it would appear to be far more casual than most places, who are these people'

While I am watching some people play what appears to be a Yu-Gi-Oh themed Mafia game, I overhear people celebrating what must have been one intense duel. Letting my curiousity get the best of me, I head over to investigate.

When I get over there I see a beautiful girl, who was obviously the victor of the duel and hear the name Niña from some of the spectators.
'This Niña is obviously someone to keep an eye on, and not just for her looks, but her skill as well.
Sadly, I did not get over there in time to see who had lost. But I didn't worry about that too much.

I decide to spend some time playing in the mini games area rather than duel (and taking away a slightly larger purse than I walked in with is always nice).  If we are going to be dueling for competition, I don't want to have anyone sneaking a peek at my deck.
"Whatever the reason is for being here, I am ready for it"

Vegas Train Station Empty Re: Vegas Train Station

Post by RekonZero Wed Oct 16, 2013 4:44 pm

(going into first person now)
As I lay there on the couch watching the duels progress i think back to the good days i had spent at Vegas dueling university. I sure had so fun times there, if it wasnt for head master Nami i wouldnt have became the duelist i am today.

After a long walk down memory lane i look back to the dueling platform to see that a new duel was about to begin. I recognized both the duelist immediately. The duelist to the left of me was Joshua Reynolds, a drop out from one of the local dueling schools. As for his opponent, on the right was the well known dueling expert of Las Vegas, Carlos Mendoza. Wow, never would have thought that he'd be dueling some drop out from a community  school. None the less i watched the duel as it progressed. As expected Joshua was no match for Carlos. Carlos easily won 2-0 over Joshua's weak Inzektor build.

"Guess there is some talent here after all, i suppose its time i got ready to show off my first duel as well."

I walk around searching for challenging targets to duel but none seemed of interest. Finally i found someone i knew from VDU, a 2 year post graduate that had graduated top of his class. No surprise he was here. I casually walk up and propose a duel and he gladly accepted. I pulled out one of the three decks on my belt and set it on the platform. As the duel began the crowd seemed to get bigger and bigger. My opponent used a well structured dark world deck so i had to monitor each move i made very carefully. The crowd cheered on as game one was coming to a end.

"Attack Anciant Sacred Wyern! and destroy his Grapha!"

As Grapha was destroyed and his life points dropped to zero the crowd went wild. I've never been a fan of being the center of attention but this felt right for some reason, I liked it.

Game two began shortly after game one ended. Him and I sided from our side decks and started the duel. I instantly knew this second duel would be hard as i had drawn into a bad hand. As game two progressed my life points decreased more and more with each attack. Game two came to a quick defeat for me. We moved to Game three and the crowd was more pumped then ever, read to see the final duel.

My opponent started off by saying "Alright i'm ready to give it my all and not hold anything back this time."

This didn't worry me as i knew all the tricks dark worlds had to offer. Game three started and i was ready for the worst. Through out the duel i had played a near perfect game, he had exhausted most if not all his big play cards and i still had Underground Arachnid and Dark Diviner on the field. one more attack and this duel would be over.

"Dark Diviner! Finish him!"

There was a big explosion as his life points dropped to zero and the crowd went crazy. I expected to win put this was defiantly more difficult then i had planned. If anything i was happy to win 2-1, that way im not underestimated nor am i overestimated. Im right in the middle, where little if not no attention would be directed towards me. I walked over to my opponent and shook his hand.

He instantly greeted me by saying "Great duel Demitri, i've never seen a deck like yours before. There was so much control."

I simply replied back saying "Thanks, its a deck i made as my senior project back at VDU. Im considering using it in my next tournament."

We exchanged compliments on each others builds and i returned to my couch. I sat down and awaited for the next duel. I started to think to myself that this competition might require a stronger deck choice. My senior project wont be cutting it for much longer, not to mention the fact that one of my opponents is Carlos the great Vegas Champion. I soon realized that another duel had started and i sat there and watched carefully at the rest of the unknown competition.

"This is defiantly going to be a fun time, maybe ill even be able to pick up a little info on my 'secret friend'."

Remembering the loss of his parents instantly put a dark look on his face and he sat in silence. There were no words he could think of other then the ones from the note that replayed in his head. 'How can i possibly make my parents proud if i cant even find any clues on there murderer.' he thought to himself. This frustrated him to the point where he walked back to the bar to steal more drinks so he could possibly forget the depression that had washed over his good time.

As i walk around looking for more games or duels, i see Demetri about to drink, wondering how he got here. As i approach him, a nincely-dressed gentlemans apporched me, he asked "You attended VDU,correct?" I reply, "No, i did not, you must have confused me with someone else"(I reall did, but i dont walk to talk to him, nor tell him about my past) He replys" No! I do know you, your Niña, you were in all my classes" As he starts to get frantic because i said i didnt remember him. His face turns into a straight face and his attitude changes "Please stop, you are Niña, I did not attend VDU, but there is a group of duelists here that are not supposed to be here, an i supposed to bring them togother""Come with me he says" "So your in charge of this huh?Bringing us here?" I said " Gosh, i cant take the credit, sorry dear, who your looking for is someone greater than everyone here,Now, come with me" I walk with him, not knowing what my future holds...

Vegas Train Station Empty Re: Vegas Train Station

Post by Zykan Wed Oct 16, 2013 7:43 pm

After playing the mini games for some time, other people started to refuse playing with me.
"You take all the fun out of this" some of them remarked.

It isn't my fault they are slacking, but I eventually have to give in and head over to the dueling area to  see if anyone is really beginning to stand out.
To my surprise the first duel I noticed was a Dark World deck vs some sort of Insect deck.  I decide to watch it play out.  I realize I had come over just after game 1, putting it at 1 - 0 for the insect player.
'Wow, I am surprised Insects could beat Dark World, this could prove interesting'
Game 2 was textbook for DW's , defeating him before the Insect deck could do anything.
Game 3 was very surprising though, as the Insect player manipulated the duel through every play.  Showing he not only knew his deck inside and out, but also had a lot of knowledge about DW's as well.
I wasn't surprised when the Insect player won.
'There are a lot of good players here, this could prove difficult if I don't get in some practice'

Looking around for someone to duel I notice a boy, who looked no older than 12, asking if anyone had seen his deck.  I walk over and promise to help him find it, if he would honer me with a game after we found it.  He agrees, so we start looking around.  We find his deck after a short search (it was in the bathroom e.e) and he immediately runs off.
"Hey, what about our duel?" I call after him.  But he just goes on like I never existed.

More than a little annoyed, I decide to challenge the first player I see.  The person I approach has a very smug look on his face, he obviously accepted to duel thinking I would be a pushover like his other opponents.

Game 1: I win the coin toss so I decide to go 1st.  I decide to play defensively until I figure out his deck.  Setting a card and ending.  He immediately starts blowing up the field w/ his monsters, revealing his entire strategy in 1 turn, (with what appears to be an Agent Swarm deck).  I scoop before he even attacks to see my card.
Game 2: I side appropriately for his deck, and he doesn't side at all (how can he when he doesn't know a single card I play)  I proceed to 1st turn summon Draco-Equiste and play vanity.  He tries constantly to get past Vanity but comes to no avail. I win with ease.
Game 3: This time he sides, and assures me that I won't win again.  He goes first, playing much more relaxed than before, obviously not wanting to over extend his resources.  The duel is very close, with both of us trying to end it in 1 fell swoop.  I end up nuking the field w/ Blackrose dragon after summoning Axon and take game 3.

After the duel he asks why I scooped in game 1, with a deck like this.
"Because it let me prepare, I knew I had lost game 1, so I used it to my advantage for game 2"

Thankfully we didn't draw much of a crowd, for this I was thankful.

I elected to go relax in the bar afterwards, ordering a Sprite since I wasn't really one for drinking.
As I observe the people in the bar, I realize
No one seems to know why we are here, everyone seems to be from completely different backgrounds.  What could possibly be the reasoning for this.

Upon thinking this I give in and order a Mojito, the only alcoholic drink I could stand.
'I'll get in some more duels later, for now I will just hang out and try and put this all together...'

But as I get halfway through my drink, a man in a suit approaches me. He comments on my duel w/ the Agent player saying he knows a place where I can practice against a real duelist.

"That Agent player seemed pretty real" I reply.

He laughs and tells me to follow him.
I follow, though I feel uncomfortable in the man's presence.

--------------------------------------------

He Leads me down to an older looking arena.
Across from me I see the girl from before.

"So this would be the real duelist, tbh I expected to see an uglier looking dude considering where we are."

I prepare for the duel ahead....

(Regarding Duels, If they actually happen, RP the duel on DN. Then copy everything said and paste it into a spoiler to show who won. It's like script writing. Use message system to talk out of character. I will post an example when I get the chance to RP duel).

The man escorts me to a dusty old arena, the path was to complicated to remember, i go down and see another duelist come down at the same time as me

"Go duel him, prove yourself" The man said as he shoved my back

Well, i guess its time to......duel.

I approach the field and see an old dusty arena, bugs crawling around, looks like it hasnt been used for years, but as a approach it, i hear gears moving, as if it moving underground. The man shoved me once again, to put me in position of where it rose, the arena rose into one of those ancient arenas used back in duelist kingdom.

As the machine rises me in the air, it rises the other duelist, he doesnt know whats going on either it seems, but we had to duel.

Chatlog:
Spoiler:
(We decided it would be an old arena after the duel, xd)
Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S49Kl5Bnl6M&feature=youtu.be
So, here i am, with this duelist i just met and dueled, confused about where to go from here

We start walking to find out how to go back to the surface

'Remarkable' I think to myself.
Niña had just defeated me in a rather amazing fashion.  Getting past my Axon with Safe Zone is not an easy feat.

Realizing that the other Men who had brought us down here are gone, I agree to accompany her to try and find our way back.
"My name is Lloyd by the way" I tell her as we go

We continue walking for a bit.
"This place is a maze" I mutter under my breath

As we walk down more pathways and crawlspaces, we are walking in a complete circle.

"What is this, another test? Try to see if we can work individually in a duel, then togother as we get out of here?, I dont like it, not one bit" I shake my head in anger.

Continuing w/ Niña even longer, eventually I start to get tired of walking.
"Hey, anyone there!?!" I shout...To my surprise, it doesn't even echo.

"I need to take a break" I say, as I sit down against the wall.

As I sit, I notice something glittering along one of the tiles.
'Whats this?'

It appears to be a small ring w/ an electronic device set in it like a gem.
I show it to Niña...

After getting back to the Casino I agree to part ways w/ Niña.  Though I hold onto the ring, wondering what it is.
'Why did the lights come on after this shocked her...it can't be a coincidence' I think as I pocket it.

I decide to head back over to the dueling area, and to my surprise not a single duel was going on.
'What the hell did we miss while we were down there."
I start going to other places, not knowing what to expect.  I see a few people in the bar, as well as some mini games going on but no where near as many people as before.

Deciding not to worry about it to much I reflect on my previous duel, sitting down in a lobby-like area.
'What could I have done differently to make it come out in my favor...or is her Evilswarm deck just that good.'

A man approaches me....

Her again. Once again here, sitting with him as is nothing had ever happened. He's used to it, rather than freaking out or making some huge scene Kai just sits there beside Her. Waiting, anticipating Her first action. "Do you still remember?" She asks him casually. He stares, onward into the vastness of the white around him. The two of them sitting in some sort of bus to the Great Beyond. White seats, walls, and white nothingness outside the windows.

He turns to Her now, gazing upon the only color in this cold world. "I will never forget," he finally replies. A sinister grin spreads across the face of the mysterious female. The scene begins the blur, the air around him becoming ever more distorted, and then.

Kai burst awake, dripping in swear and heart racing in his chest as he rises violently from beneath his sheets. His head is ringing, senselessly and ceaseless. No, wait. "It's an alarm! ****!" Kai thinks to himself quickly jumping out of the bed. It takes him but a moment to throw on an over worn white button up shirt under and equally worn black jacket.

He scratches his head and gazes in the mirror for a moment. Black and white, literally from head to toe. Be it his clothes, or his hair. And of course around his mouth he worn his signature wrap to prevent showing expression.

"Let's carry on then." He replied simply to the strange figures whom had presented themselves at his door. He followed them, and arrived at no less than what he'd expected. All the coincidences didn't just fall into place like that.

Now. Here among some of the best Duelists around Kai was more than ready to board the train and let the festivities get underway. His mind raced, calculating possible opponent outcomes and scanning the area to scout for clues. For a moment, his injured eye opened in only the slightest of ways. Traces of not blue, but a purple ocular gazing from beneath. A sinister grin spread quickly across the young man's face.

Vegas Train Station Empty Re: Vegas Train Station

On the train tracks, there seems to be a source of light from one end. Then you start to hear a "cho-cho-chug" sound. A train appears on the tracks but begins to slow down. The doors open and the train sinks to the ground.

"We will be taking our break at Vegas before we go across the ocean. Now I am going to tell you where everything is on the train. Besides that, welcome to the train to CDA Duel Worlds. Our next stop to pick up passangers will be at Venice. Our trains goes fast. You will find a bunch of Bunk Beds if you were to go to the right of the Dueling Tables and if you were to continue going left, you would end up at the kitchen, where you can order your food. We hope to guide you through a safe trip."

The Intercom then goes out.

Bepity does notices that the train has come to a stop and does not look out the window. She begins to mediate some more.

Vegas Train Station Empty Re: Vegas Train Station

Hearing the voice over the speakers, Izanami hefts himself off of the leather seat with a slight squish and walks slowly over to where he had stashed his passport and cards earlier. Undoing the clip, he wedges them out and drops them into his pocket with a swish.
_

Izanami wheels left and walks silently past other people on the train almost invisibly. Arriving at the kitchen, the aroma wafting through the double doors was intoxicating.
Always hungry, but usually never eat. Might as well.
Approaching a chef, he asked for a long list of food -- and that started a very enjoyable feast at a lonely table.

Vegas Train Station Empty Re: Vegas Train Station

Rushing hastily to get to the train, Demitri grabs a final bottle and gets on.

After giving the greeter my passport and walking past what seems to be a lot more duelist then i had expected. I see a few seats in the back that i would love to have. I sit down in the one farthest from the crowd and i start looking over my cards.

"who ever thought of a train running through Vegas just to pick up a few decent duelist."

With no sight of Nina, i just decide to sit quietly and wait for us to take off. I put in some ear buds and let my music take me away. Feeling relaxed for the first time in awhile, i pop open the last bottle from vegas and take a big swig for good luck.

"Where ever this train is taking me, i sure hope that there will be drinks like this there."

Realizing that i havent ate in what seems like days, i get up and walk to the kitchen. I sit down next to a guy ordering the longest list of foods i've ever heard and wait for him to get done. when he does finally finish his order a different man comes to take my order. All i wanted was a burger, some fries and a sweet tea. I sit there and eat my burger while watching what looks like last years ygo finals.

"Yep, this is the life right here."

While thinking to myself, the train starts to move off as my final thoughts while leaving Vegas were "i cant wait to show all these losers what i can really do." and just as Vegas was out of sight, i make a toast, by myself, to a excellent future.

My opponent was none other than my old best friend. Zaakir Mikols. He moved to Vegas in the 3rd grade from India. And we had been the closest of friends up until the 7th grade when I transfered to a more prestigious middle school leaving Zaakir behind. He was the second best duelist in our old schhol district only beaten by me. He had no intentions of going to a prep school. He said he liked the inner city school and that it would always be considered a home to him.

The thing that made me mad was that I considered him better than me. But he still had no intention of trying to beat me. I was considered the best because I scored perfect on all my tests. He had the pure duelist instinct and that was why he was better. I was just smart and calculative. He was born to duel. "Ok Carlos, Lets get this over with." Said Noah but immediatley after all that could be heard was a loud rucus. Choo! Choooo! All abord! Last call for all you duelists. And with out a word Zaakir grabed his stuff and ran to the train.

Without thinking I grabed mine and followed him. With Noah chasing after me he screamed. "Where are you going?!" "I have no idea." "Boy you're gonna get us into some kind of trouble." "I guess so!" We jumped on the train just in time to spot Zaakir taking his seat. We rushed over to the 2 empty seats next to him. "Hey...I was looking forward to our duel." "Wow...I consider it an honor for you to associate with the likes of me." (I can feel the tension. And I love it!) Ignoring Paladynamo I said "Cut the crap Zaakir, pull out your deck and lets go!" In return he pulled his deck out and muttered. "As you wish."

Vegas Train Station Empty Re: Vegas Train Station

Strands, ribbons perhaps. Long enough to reach the horizon and each made of what appeared to be the finest silk. Only One of the many gifts this eye gave him. It allowed him to see the "Strand of Fate," attached to each and every soul within his range of vision. That said, observing Fate and Understanding it where two entirely different processes. Nothing stood out in this moment. Which basically meant everything was at a calm, they way things where, there was no hero here in this moment, just cattle.

His eye closed again, and he walked onward toward the train gazing from face to face through his singular blue orb. He would wave, and smile. Though no one saw the latter for his face mask. Surely enough he pressed onward and into the commotion that was the collection of train carts. What with all the passengers now it really was a mess. He had wanted to order a bowl of rice, but with the current situation he decided to take a seat at a vacant duel table.

Close to him, sat a few others among them a female duelist. Kai gazed at her, for only a second before taking out his deck, and proceeding to go through the cards one by one, looking over his deck one last time before things really kicked off.
