Crashcourse Yu-Gi-Oh!: Pendulum Summons and Pendulum Monsters!
Pendulum Monster/Summon Mechanics and Rulings so far:
1) Whenever a Pendulum Monster would be sent from the field to the graveyard in any way, it goes back to the extra deck faceup.
2) Pendulum Monsters cannot be set facedown in the Pendulum Zone.
3) They are treated as spells and when a pendulum monster is placed in the pendulum zone, it is considered as activating a spell card so spell negation could work here.
4) Unlike field spells, you cannot swap a pendulum monster in a occupied pendulum zone for a new one at all. Not even if both slots are full. You cannot do it.
5) If multiple monsters are attempted to be pendulum summoned, which is a type of special summon, Solemn Judgment can negate them all, but not Rai-Oh or Black Horn of Heaven.
How to Pendulum Summon in a nutshell:
The Blue Number is the left side of the pendulum and the red number is the right side of the pendulum. Each player can only Pendulum Summon once per turn. Pendulum summons are considered special summons. When both Pendulum Zones are full, Using the Blue number from the left pendulum zone and the red number from the right pendulum zone as a reference, you can summon as many monsters as possible from your hand and/or pendulum monsters from the extra deck that are in between the pendulum scale numbers.
For example, if from the left is a 1 and the right is an 8, you can summon monsters from your hand or pendulum monsters from your extra deck that are from level 2 to 7.

Very nice article, Jason! I actually didn't know about the "Unlike field spells, you cannot swap a pendulum monster in a occupied pendulum zone for a new one at all. Not even if both slots are full. You cannot do it." or "If multiple monsters are attempted to be pendulum summoned, which is a type of special summon, Solemn Judgment can negate them all, but not Rai-Oh or Black Horn of Heaven." I actually though Black horn would just negate everything like Solemn would. Also, I would recommend adding some pictures to your articles. It just gives a 'visual' understanding to some people who like to see things to get a better comprehension. However, this is just a suggestion. Thanks for the article. Really enjoyed the read.

Nice job, this will change the game in a way we still can't fully understand.
This mass summon mechanic will also bring us the multipel gorz, maxed TT, miror and stuff. yugioh will become very weird in the future.
