Chain Beat I

First topic message reminder :
I said I was going to make this thread a million times; I will not lie, the Pojo thread is superior and I am there every day but as some of the members do not know what Pojo is or do not want to take the time reading, I have simplified Chain Beat in this thread and I will be happy to give deck advice to anyone who plays it.
"What is Chain Beat?"
First thing's first: Chain Beat is NOT Chain Burn. In these you will NOT find Chain Strikes, Just Desserts, ect, unless you want an interesting, more unique build. They are cards used in a stall burn deck. We are a CONTROL deck, meaning we like to seize our opponent's options and render them useless using the most of our ability. Now, this would usually look like senseless trap-usage but this deck is NOT that simple. You will find yourself begging your deck to give you the card you need and a lot of times you might have just used that card and realized you did not need to. That is the beauty of this deck; there are no forgiving turnarounds. You have to analyze the situation and utilize everything within your arsenal or you may find yourself dead by turn 3. Luckily this is okay as our monsters we use are the best floaters in the game and the hardest to get rid of.

"What is Chain Beat?"

- I praised our monsters and you'll see why in a moment. You should find yourself running 7-10 monsters. I run 7, personally.
You read this little rabbit correctly; he is the definition of a floater. Just be careful and if you can avoid it NEVER use his effect in your Main Phase, or you can never chain him again and he becomes.. dead. Rabbit is used for Chain Links for the builds that do like abusing Accumulated Fortune (We call them Legacy builds, but they're very weak). Note his effect says "return". This means he does not special summon himself back to field so your opponent cannot Torrential, Solemn Warning (especially not this as this is the resolution of the effect, though there are people out there), or Bottomless (if you have a Tenki, lol). 3 is staple.Wind-Up Rabbit | Beast-Warrior | 1400ATK/600DEF | LV 3 | Earth wrote:During either player's turn: You can target 1 "Wind-Up" monster you control; banish it until your next Standby Phase. He.. is.. INSANE. The only possible way to run over him is to summon, not activate anything, and miraculously get over my backrow without setting anything off. His 300 extra attack is vital. He can be Veiler'd though and not die forever like Rabbit. He is the beatstick you will need in Chain Beat and he can also be overlayed to make Ophion if you need to. (Be sure to have a Rabbit or another monster in hand/field first, though. XYZ plays are risky.) Run 3. I've seen people use 2. I choose to run the 1 I am allowed and I encourage others to as well. He is a very powerful monster and backed up with traps, is a game-ender. I prefer her over Bear. She searches my BTH/Void Trap Hole (assuming you run 1) and she is very, very rarely mauled after like Bear. She can also be revived with Garden, and be a +1 on summon! We are always searching for new monsters to run. I did not list a new, like Morphing Jar #2 who just does not cut it this format, and Tour Guide. No. Do not run Tour Guide. I almost got admins called on me for mocking the guy on Pojo who did. Tour Guide is just bad; the rank plays are LAST RESORT and Tour Guide does not help you in the slightest. Run her for fun at most. . . Anyway be weary of something that looks gimmicky, like Madolche Magileine. We commonly main Dimensional Fissure and Macro and she can get in the way, not to mention getting 2 of her for Tiaramisu is difficult, let alone having 1 in the graveyard is a 0% chance. There is also cards like Reborn Tengu. He's semi'd so he's currently not good.
Basically think this; does it float? Does it add to my strategy? Not using it.
Spells

Do you not see how insane this card is? Muahaha, Thunderbird and Rabbit ignore the attack modification because they RETURN to the field from their effects, NOT. SUMMON. Therefore you have the biggest beaters on the field. Lovely~ This card makes Needle Ceiling live, too. It's amazing. Plus its reborn effect works with those who play Mrymeleo and Bear. <3Black Garden | Field Spell wrote:

Love this card. It allows you to DECIDE 1 card in your hand for no reason. There are no negatives to this whatsoever. Now the sad thing about Spells is we are very limited as to what runs. Some people run Upstart Goblin (don't be these people), others main Mystical Space Typhoons. I personally run 1 MST and 1 Double Cyclone as Cyclone frees a slot for me. It's all personal preference, honestly. I mean if you were really mean you could even run Chain Strike, though it isn't recommended. Anyway, backrow hate is nice but remember your field spells must be annoying and your spell count should never balance or be higher than traps, or you will have no backrow power.
Traps

We are the only deck that can run this card. The rulings say you only have to have 1 monster shuffled into the deck, so you activate it and chain your Rabbit/Thunderbird. Hell, you can ever get rid of a token from Black Garden but be careful, your opponents can, too. This is very good. Make it a Chain Link higher than your monster and pop for free. It's blind MST food, too. This card is difficult for some, amazing for others. I find it amazing to the point I main 2 of them while others find it to be quite troublesome to get off. This is a card you should side in versus Evilswarms and Constellars. Note you should always have a decent amount of traps. Draw power is not necessary in Chain Beat if you're a good player. You must be aware of every card that is played though and make only the best judgments. Your traps are your power cards so never use them in weak scenarios.

TheExZombie is a good friend of mine with a very funny build. His isn't exactly competitive but hey.
