Cyber Nova Dragon Question

Description: 2 Level 5 Machine-Type monsters
Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 "Cyber Dragon" in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can banish 1 "Cyber Dragon" from your hand or face-up from your Monster Card Zone; this card gains 2100 ATK until the End Phase. If this card in your possession is sent to your Graveyard by your opponent's card effect: You can Special Summon 1 Machine-Type Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck.



Description: Once per turn, during each player's Standby Phase: The turn player declares a Level from among the face-up monsters they control, then sends all face-up monsters they control with a different Level to the Graveyard.

Problem: Why does Cyber Nova Dragon not go to the graveyard? 75 Points for each answer.

Cyber Dragon Nova's effect wouldn't work because Cyber Dragon Nova has to be sent to the graveyard by your opponents card effect. Not your own card effect.

well taking it into consideration that unification was your card activated, Nova doesn't get the effect because it was or would be your effect that made it go too the grave, not your opponents. Their for no go!

This is incorrect. Unification states "sends all face-up monsters they control with a different Level to the Graveyard." Cyber Dragon Nova does not have a Level, it has a Rank. Therefore it does not have a different Level, and is not sent to the graveyard

Testers shouldn't answer the Homework...it should be the members of the dorm lol

Yeah the reason is that unification sends monsters with a level. Cyber Dragon Nova has a rank so it will not be moved to the graveyard.

yeah it clearly says 'level' not rank, works like gravity bond. It only works for levels. Ranks are not levels, which is my you cannot synchro with them.

Rank is the key. Starting from the Left not the right. All XYZ monsters are unaffected by this cards description and effects but Synchro's and level monsters (anything not XYZ) is subjective to this effect.
