Lesson Set-Up Ideas
I have noticed that our lessons are very generalized. I was thinking that we should have two or three teachers for each dorm (maybe more to take the load off them) and they should customize each lesson to fit the dorm. That way, each and every duelist can get better in each specific area. Here's what I was thinking for each dorm:
Slifer:
Basics
Basics of deck construction
Basic combinations
Ra:
Finer rules/regulations
Tips and tricks for deck construction
More advanced combinations
Obelisk:
Obscure rules/rulings
"Top secret" tips and tricks
More advanced combinations
I don't know how we can keep people that are not of that dorm out of the lessons, but I'm sure our admins can find a way. That's only one of my ideas.
Another: Homework. And tests for comprehension. How can one grow as a duelist if they don't learn?
Finally, duels to see the top duelists of each dorm. This will create competition (which is good) and will allow the less-experienced see the more experienced pull off combos. It's an opportunity to learn.
These are nothing but a few ideas. This will capitalize on the fact that this site is, indeed, an academy for duelists. I hope our administrators keep these ideas in mind. Thank you for your time.
