Deck Masters is an event first published on Herobreak© by Almighty Yeezus. It will now be published by us again on XDA© as an on-going event. In this event, each Duelist will choose a card they would otherwise use in the duel, this is then known as the Duelist's Deck Master. These Deck Masters are not classed as being inside the deck and are banished until the player decides to Special summon it to his/her side of the field. Deck Masters with summoning requirements or that cannot be special summoned by non-specific means (for example: Black Luster Soldier – Envoy of the Beginning; Demise, Lord of Armageddon; Sophia, Goddess of Rebirth; and The Winged Dragon of Ra) cannot be selected as Deck Masters. The Deck Master’s effects will activate/be active once it is summoned to the field. If a Deck Master is used as a material for a Fusion, Syncro, XYZ, etc. The Special summoned monster will be treated as your new Deck Master.

TIP: You can say that a little test to determine whether or not your Deck Master is legitimate is to ask yourself if it can be summoned by Monster Reborn; if not, then it's probably not allowed. If so, it's probably good to go.

Rules and Regulations

• The current January 2014 ban list is in effect here.
• Before the duel begins, both players must remove from their decks their Deck Masters.
• TCG Banlist (TCG/OCG Cards)
• Duels will be hosted in Advanced (Unrated) 2/3 match
• Banned decks: Exodia, Self-Destruct Button Tie-Out, Final Countdown, and Empty Jar.
• Cards that would move a players Deck Monster, while it is still banished, will be unaffected.
• You cannot choose a Deck Master that requires certain requirements such as tributing cards or needing certain numbers of other cards to be summoned.
• If your Deck Master is destroyed on the field, the controller of that Deck Master will lose the duel.
• A Player can summon their Deck Master from the Banish card zone during any phase of their turn only.
• You may have as many copies of your Deck Master in your deck, but only one can be your Deck Master and you must banish atleast one.
• If you so happen to draw your Deck Master at the start of the duel, you must banish it and draw another card.
• You cannot choose a Deck Master from the Extra deck. Must be from the Main deck only.
• Each participants will have a total of two lives.
• Deck changing is not allowed. You will be punished with a life lost if you attempt to duel with a different deck.
• If you haven't dueled in over 3-4 days, and you still have 1-2 lives remaining, you will receive a disqualification.
• All players can duel whoever they wish that are participating in this event.
• After each match, at least one of the players must post the results. Confirmation from the opponent, while not necessary, is advised. (Always take screenshots of your victories; you may be asked for them.)
• Anyone caught cheating will be punished with 2 warnings.
• If a player has to go during a duel, they forfeit it upon leaving. If a player has to go in between duels of a match (during siding), it may continue later.
• If screenshots are not submitted, the returning player may not side for the next game.
• Be sure to message your opponent and work out a seclude where you both will be free to duel.

Ruling/Game knowledge: Better than most and if I am given a situation I don't know, I know how to determine the correct answer in a relatively reasonable time frame.

Why I felt the need to add this: because you know something is going to occur where there is a dispute, and I am able to solve these situations in a professional manner.

2 questions:

• You cannot choose a Deck Master that requires certain requirements such as tributing cards or needing certain numbers of other cards to be summoned.

Does that mean I can't choose a card like Jinzo as my deck master? Or just cards like BLS, DAD, Chaos Sorcerer, etc?

• A Player can summon their Deck Master from the Banish card zone during any phase of their turn only.

Is it considered a normal summon, a special summon or both? If it's considered a Special Summon, can I still summon cards like LaDD? If it's considered a normal summon, can I activate my card's effects (e.g. Traptrix Myrmeleo's 1st effect)?

EDIT:
Can a player use Solemn Warning/Black Horn to negate a DM's summon? If so, will the player lose the duel?

Only cards that says in their description that they need to be tributed summon first to even be played. If it can be SS by Monster Reborn, without having to fulfill a requirement, then it's legal to be used as a Deck Master.

Can a player use Solemn Warning/Black Horn to negate a DM's summon? If so, will the player lose the duel?

Yes, Deck Master summons are still a form of summon, thus they can be destroyed by cards such as Solemn Warning/Black Horn. The player will also lose the duel if they are destroyed by these ways too.

No, it isn't being destroyed, just being removed from the field.

Yes, you can summon your deck master during any phase of your turn...even in the Battle Phase for a finishing combo.

Yes, if you Deck Master has an effect that goes off once it is SS, then it will get that effect. "The Deck Master’s effects will activate/be active once it is summoned to the field. "

I would be very careful in choosing a Deck Master such as Fire King High Avatar Garunix for if its effect go off, you will not just lose all your monsters on the field, but also the duel.
